The Patents Office, in cooperation with The Enterprise Europe Network, Enterprise Ireland and the County Enterprise Boards have launched a series of one-day seminars, aimed at the ‘small business’ community, entrepreneurs and inventors, on the theme of ‘Building a Business on Your Ideas’.
The seminars will commence on 23rd September 2010 in the Mill Park Hotel, Donegal Town and will run for the following nine months, in cities and towns across the country. Admission to the seminars is free but pre-registration with the local County Enterprise Board is required.
The seminars will focus on:-
how business should be aware of and can exploit the value of Intellectual Property (Patents, Trade Marks, Designs and Copyright) and the support structures that are available for small businesses and start-ups from the State and Europe.
Expert speakers from the private sector include a Patent Attorney, a representative from ‘Technology from Ideas’, a representative from the Industry, Research and Development Group and a local entrepreneur. Speakers from the public sector include representatives from the Patents Office, Enterprise Ireland, the County Enterprise Boards and the Enterprise Europe Network.
