ABSTRACT

A Spanish SME specialized in the sustainability field, with previous experience in the preparation and execution of H2020 granted projects, is offering their expertise providing both services and patented products focused on nature-based solutions (NBS). They aim to collaborate as partners on international consortiums applying to different Horizon Europe topics. The company is offering their know-how, skills and capabilities through research cooperation agreements

The company was established in 2014 and has grown constantly since then. It is deeply specialized in nature-based solutions (NBS), through the integration of nature and architecture. The Spanish SME has developed different systems for vertical gardens, green roofs, natural pools and other green tools. Due to that experience it has participated on European funded projects to implement green infrastructures in urban environments.

The current COVID-19 crisis is a reminder of the importance of the relationships between biodiversity and human health. nature based solutions are an excellent tool to bring this biodiversity and other benefits of nature into the cities. Developing the knowledge and tools required to prove and test the potential of NBS is more necessary than any time before, and partnerships on European projects must be focused on this target. In this context the company can assist public and private companies to restore degraded nature diversity and ecosystems, but also to provide NBSs focused to introduce natural biodiversity in urban environments.

The Spanish company can offer a large experience on real implementation of the NBSs, including knowledge on common barriers that the organizations can find at the moment to apply them, as well as materials, specifications and installation for the solutions. The SME provides also have a big research and development experience, so they are qualified to search new solutions adapted to any kind of conditions. In addition, they have a solid network of public and private clients that would serve as potential end-users for NBSs, in case that the result of the project is focused in the development of a commercial product like in Fast Track to Innovation calls.
