Intellectural Property Workshop

Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Fund Business Centre, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, Co Donegal

Enterprise Europe Network and Local Enterprise Office Donegal are delighetd to present an Intellectual Property Workshop which will focus on how businesses should be aware of and can exploit the value of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, design, copyright).  Speakers will be available for a limited number of 1 to 1 sessions with attendees after the presentation.

Diane O'Dwyer, Intellectual Property Office

Diane has worked in the Intellectual Property (IP) Office for many years.  Her current role is in Finance and Customer Service where she deals with both office receipts and expenditure.  She has spent many years and is still involved in the IP information centre, where she gained a lot of experience handling IP queries and providing IP presentations to various groups.

Alan Wallace, FRKelly

European Patent Attorney, European Trademark Attorney, European Design Attorney, Registered Irish Patent, FRKelly is Ireland's leading firm of Patent and Trademark Attorneys.  Established in 1927, it has offices in Dublin, Belfast and Cork.  Alan is a partner in FRKelly and has over 25 years of experience in the intellectual property profession providing services to local and international clients in a wide range of IP matters.  He holds a Masters of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and previously worked as a hardware and software engineer with the Centre for Applied Microelectronics in Numberg.

Gerard O'Regan, Enterprise Ireland

Senior Technology Transfer Executive, Research & Development and Technology Transfer Department, Unit Research & Innovation and Internationalisation in Enterprise Ireland, Gerard assists clients through Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) in his role as Horizon 2020-SME Instrument Key Account Manager (KAM) associated with added services for SME Instrument beneficiaries and as a European IP Helpdesk Ambassador, providing support to companeis in identifying technology transfer opportunities, profiling technologies and providing assistance in concluding licensing agreements and IP issues.  The sectors which form the primary focus for Gerard are Engineering, Electronics, Energy and Life Sciences.
