Europe's energy and water top innovators shined at African Utility Week 2018













14 SME Instrument top innovation leaders from 10 different countries showcased their market-creating innovations under the first ever European Pavilion organised by the EIC pilot- SME Instrument of the European Commission at African Utility Week 2018 on 15-17 May in Cape Town.

This fair is the leading conference and trade exhibition for African power, energy and water professionals focused on all aspects of the provision of energy services to the African market, including top decision makers, corporates, investors, experts and the most active SMEs in the continent.

The European Pavilion received distinguished guests as the EU Ambassador to South Africa, Dr. Marcus Cornaro, who stated: "Getting to know these companies under the European Pavilion has been mind-blowing. Business models and solutions are impressive, solid and sound and ready for global markets. The EU funding is making a difference supporting these highly innovative companies. This Pavilion is a great opportunity to showcase Europe as a solution for one of the most pressing problems in South Africa and in the whole continent".
